Bring mom, family, and friends to this free festival at Marina Equestrian Center Park, a nationally listed historical site on old Fort Ord.• Cavalry horse jumping, Civil War horse-drawn cannon firing, blacksmith, petting zoo, activities for kids.
• Special Mother's Day weekend focus--make a card for mom and grandma; free carnation for moms present, while supplies last.
• DLI Choir, mounted color guard, presentation on Pancho Villa expedition (1916).
• Community and history exhibits; lunch available
THE WARHORSE BIKE RIDE: 11-mile, guided bike ride from venue to Fort Ord National Monument, CSUMB campus, and Fort Ord Dunes State Park. Kid friendly, moderate fitness required. Leaves at 9 and returns for opening ceremony at 11. Cost: $2
