New text alert system available to Monterey County residents
posted about 2 years ago by CERV from Community Emergency Response Volunteers of the Monterey Peninsula
The Monterey County Office of Emergency Services is rolling out a text message alert service for residents of Monterey County that will allow people to receive critical information and updates directly on their cell phone or electronic device. The Community Engagement notification system ties into Facebook and Twitter and can be used by local cities or agencies to send out local information about events or emergencies. Alerts may include public safety threats, dangerous weather and traffic advisories.
Sign up to receive text message alerts from Monterey County Office of Emergency Services by texting MoCoOES to 888777.
